Former Student Government Association president Brandon Bryer has continued his partnership with Aramark to provide students in need with additional meals throughout the semester.

After Bryer met with the Vice President for Campus Involvement Andrew Sexton and the Aramark director Luke Holbrook, VIP meal voucher programs to the Rock were developed.

The SGA office on the second floor of ADUC is open for any student to stop by and pick up a VIP Meal Voucher card, no questions asked. It specifically helps students who either can’t afford meal plans or run out of meals by the end of the semester.

Working with a Student Affairs initiative called Eagle Essentials, SGA was able to get more insight on the food insecurities and shortage issues on campus. Bryer decided to target this issue to have a positive impact on the students that struggle with this problem.

When running for SGA president, Bryer’s goal was to give the students what they need for them to do well in school.

“In order for students to be successful, their most basic needs must be met,” said Bryer.

New SGA president Colby Birkes plans to continue to address the issue and make sure the needs of the students are met.
