Joe Whiteford is the lead singer and founder of the horror folk punk band Harley Poe, a genre of music that combines the instrumentation of traditional folk music with the lyrics and feel of punk music and the atmosphere of horror films.
Fifteen different musicians have circled in and out of the band with the making of each album, while Whiteford himself has remained the front man for over twenty years. Six EPs and 13 albums later, Harley Poe has become a popular band in the folk punk genre with a dedicated following.
