COVID-19 has added another hoop for prospective students to jump through when picking their college.

Campus tours have been one of the main aspects affected by the pandemic. Morehead State University has adjusted its tours to maintain social distancing and COVID-19 guidelines, including 10 family guided tours and 20 family guided tours.

“All students must register for their visit for one week in advance,” said Wright.  “No walk-ins are allowed. The tours can only consist of three people total including prospective student. All guests are required to wear a mask during their visit.”

Tours are offered Monday through Friday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Twenty families are divided into two groups and the tours are hosted in different locations.

MSU also has created virtual tours as another option.

“MSU offers campus tours throughout the year, Monday through Friday. We’ve also scheduled several Saturday dates due to high demand. Our guests schedule at least one week in advance so we can personalize the visit,” said Wright. “Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, visits are limited as we work to maintain a safe and healthy campus.”

Everyone must wear a mask when on campus and taking the tours on the golf carts.
